The Goodyear range and who each tyre suits
- Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. The performance tyre, and the reason many drivers ask for Goodyear by name. Strong wet braking, sharp steering, and original fitment on a list of Mercedes, BMW and Audi models in the MO, star and AO markings. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 SUV covers a Macan, X3 or GLC; the Eagle F1 SuperSport sits above it for AMG and M cars.
- EfficientGrip Performance 2. The touring tyre: quiet, economical and long-wearing on a Camry, Mazda6, Golf, 3 Series or a mid-size SUV. The like-for-like replacement when the car came on EfficientGrip from the factory.
- Assurance TripleMax 2 and ComfortTred. The everyday tyres at a lower price, with a focus on wet braking (TripleMax) or quiet comfort (ComfortTred) for a Corolla, i30, Mazda3 or Civic.
- Eagle Sport and Eagle Touring. Sporty everyday tyres for a hot hatch or a sedan driven with some enthusiasm, below the Eagle F1 in price.
- Wrangler. The 4WD family: Territory HT and Fortitude HT for the road, AT SilentTrac for all-terrain without the noise, Duratrac for serious off-road and towing.
- Cargo and Marathon. Van and light commercial tyres for a HiAce or Transit.
Goodyear questions we get asked most
Eagle F1 or EfficientGrip? If the car is the sports version and you drive it that way, the Eagle F1. If it's the everyday version and you want it quiet and long-wearing, the EfficientGrip. Fitting an Eagle F1 to a car that never gets pushed just means replacing it sooner.
SilentTrac or Duratrac? The SilentTrac is an all-terrain that's genuinely quiet on the highway, which is where most utes spend their time. The Duratrac grips better in mud and takes more punishment but hums on the bitumen. Be honest about how often the ute leaves the sealed road.
Is Goodyear worth it over a Korean brand? On the touring side it's close and the price difference is small; on the performance side the Eagle F1 is a clear step up from a Kumho or Hankook in the wet. We'll show you both prices in your size.
