Dunlop makes the Sport Maxx for performance cars, the SP Sport and Enasave for everyday sedans and hatches, and the Grandtrek for SUVs and 4WDs. It’s a mid-priced brand that’s original fit on a lot of Japanese cars, so many drivers replace like-for-like. We can supply and fit the Dunlop range at our Knoxfield workshop, and we’ll tell you honestly if a different tyre suits your driving better. Free tyre check first.

The Dunlop range and who each tyre suits
- Sport Maxx. The performance and upper-touring line. Sport Maxx RT2 for a European sedan or a hot hatch; Sport Maxx 050+ is original fitment on a lot of Lexus, Subaru and Toyota models and the like-for-like replacement for them.
- SP Sport. The everyday touring family. SP Sport LM705 is the quiet, comfortable choice for a Corolla, Mazda3, Civic or i30 that mostly commutes.
- Enasave. Low rolling resistance for small cars and hybrids. The Enasave EC300+ is original fitment on many Toyota and Mazda models.
- Grandtrek. SUV and 4WD tyres. Grandtrek PT3 and PT5 for a RAV4, CX-5 or Kluger on the bitumen; Grandtrek AT5 for a HiLux, Ranger or Prado that sees gravel and dirt.
- Direzza. Ultra-high-performance and semi-slick tyres for track days and enthusiasts, in a car that also has to get to work on Monday.
Dunlop questions we get asked most
My Toyota or Lexus came on Dunlop. Should I stay with it? Usually a good move. The factory tyre was picked for that car's ride and noise, and the current Dunlop equivalent is often a little better than what the car left the showroom on. We'll quote the same tyre and one alternative.
Is Dunlop a budget brand? No. It sits in the middle: better wet grip and tread life than the budget names, less money than Michelin or Continental. For most family cars in Melbourne it's a sensible spend.
Which Grandtrek for a ute that tows? The AT5 in an LT construction with the right load rating. A passenger-rated highway tyre is not the tool for a loaded tray or a caravan. We'll match the load index to what you tow.

Common Dunlop picks we fit
Typical matches, confirmed against the size on your sidewall:
- Toyota Corolla, Camry, Mazda3, Honda Civic, Hyundai i30: SP Sport LM705 for a quiet everyday tyre; Enasave EC300+ if economy comes first.
- Lexus IS, ES and RX, Subaru Liberty and Outback: Sport Maxx 050+, the tyre many of them left the factory on.
- RAV4, CX-5, Forester, Kluger, Outlander: Grandtrek PT3 or PT5.
- HiLux, Ranger, Prado, Triton, Navara: Grandtrek AT5 in an LT construction for anything that tows or carries a load.
- Golf GTI, WRX, BMW 3 Series, Audi A4: Sport Maxx RT2.
- Track-day cars (86, MX-5, WRX STI): Direzza DZ102 for the street, DZ03G for the track.
Fitting, balancing and alignment in one visit
Every Dunlop we fit is balanced on the Hunter SmartWeight Pro and the wheel alignment is checked on the Hunter Hawkeye Elite. That's what stops a new set wearing on one edge in 20,000 km. If the car is also due for a logbook service, brakes or a free 40-point inspection, one booking covers it.
